About me
Kristen Carroll is an associate partner with Bellwether in the Policy and Evaluation practice area.
Prior to joining Bellwether, Kristen served as the Chief Data Strategist at the Douglas County School System in Georgia. In this role, Kristen helped improve the district’s data infrastructure, establish data governance policies, and implement data dashboard and analytic tools for principal and central office use. She also worked closely with various central office departments to evaluate program effectiveness, establish key performance indicators, and overhaul data collection processes to improve accuracy and maximize funding.
Kristen also served as an Institute of Education Sciences postdoctoral scholar at Vanderbilt University, where her research focused on the impact of K-12 administrators, teacher racial representation, and education labor markets on student academic achievement. During this time, she served as an Education Pioneers fellow with the Human Capital division at the Tennessee Department of Education.
Kristen holds a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University and a doctorate in political science with a focus on public policy and administration from Texas A&M University.
